Health Screening Testing

Please select the following options for wellness care during your pet's appointment

Fecal/Intestinal Parasite Testing. All cats in the area should be tested annually. Screens for common intestinal parasites that are transmitted from other animals and spread via fecal material. Many parasites are transmissible to people.

Complete Panel Wellness Blood Testing. Recommended for cats over 8 years of age. Includes Complete Blood Count, Chemistry/Organ Function tests, Thyroid Testing, Urine Testing.

Basic Panel Wellness Blood Testing. Recommended for cats annually under 8 years of age. Includes Complete Blood Count and basic Chemistry/Organ Function Tests

I am interested in discussing a dental cleaning for my cat during my cat's wellness appointment. Dental disease is a source for pain, bad breath, and infection. It may negatively impact their heart, kidneys, liver, and other vital organs. Dental cleanings include ultrasonic scaling of the teeth including under the gum line, polishing, fluoride treatment and evaluation for disease in all teeth.

Vaccinations. We will confirm your pet's medical history to guide you on vaccinations during your appointment as well. Are pet's vaccines current?

Rabies. All cats must receive this vaccine as well as the county registration tag as required by law. A 1 year vaccine must be given at least once before receiving the 3 year vaccine. Rabies is a 100% fatal viral infection transmitted from wildlife, bats, or other rabid animals. It affects the nervous system and is transmissible to people.

Distemper (FVRCP) Vaccine. All cats should receive this vaccine This is a combination vaccine including protection against the following viral diseases: FVR = Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis is a disease of the upper respiratory tract. It can cause fever, loss of appetite, sneezing, eye and nasal discharges. C = Calici causes upper respiratory tract infections. It is highly contagious and causes fever, oral ulcers, and even pneumonia. P = Panleukopenia, also known as distemper, is highly contagious. It is a potentially fatal disease causing diarrhea, vomiting, fever and often death. A 1 year vaccine must be given at least once before receiving the 3 year vaccine.

Feline Leukemia (FELV) Vaccine. Some cats in the area should receive this vaccine. It is given annually. Feline leukemia is transmitted from direct contact (bites, etc) with positive cats. It affects the immune system and leads to a wide range of secondary infectious and even cancerous conditions. It is a leading cause of death in North American cats. If your cat ever goes outside, or has other exposure to other cats, they should receive this vaccine. This is a 1 year vaccine.
