Dr. Alison Baker is a full time associate veterinarian who joined Cary Grove Animal Hospital in January 2022.
Dr. Baker grew up in McHenry County and prior to joining CGAH previously practiced for 5 years in Belvidere, Illinois. She values communication with owners and strives to connect with them and help them understand their pet’s condition. She likes to involve owners with their pet’s care whether it be wellness and preventative care, allergies or more complex issues. She enjoys soft tissue surgery as well as dentistry and oral surgery.
Dr. Baker was attracted to join Cary Grove Animal Hospital because of its reputation for high quality medicine and outstanding staff that take a team approach to veterinary medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Baker is very active with dog agility competitions. She has Australian Shepherds that she trains and competes with regularly in agility. She also enjoys seeing agility dogs as patients given her personal understanding of their particular needs. Dr. Baker also has a Siamese cat named Charlie who helps keep the dogs in check.
